Todd will read excerpts titled ‘Where the Water Goes’ from a longer work of fiction. Taking inspiration from Anne Braun’s works, these scenes and fragments, focussing on queer bodies, explore the passage and exchange of water, emotions, and memories over zones of a volleyball court, and those between people across time and space.

Following this, Todd will invite you to reflect on his and Anne Braun’s work, and share these reflections with others in the space. The theme for this: Here & Now, There & Then.

Community and connections are often made between people in-person (Here & Now), but for others living away from their homelands and loved ones – chosen or otherwise – vital connections are maintained across vast distances and different time zones (There & Then). To honour both these kinds of connections, Todd will also invite you to add a song, a book, an artwork or a special place to a list of community recommendations to be shared with others near and far.
